Preventing violent extremism through education in Central Asia: sub-regional capacity-building workshop
This workshop is being organized within the framework of UNESCO’s work on the prevention of violent extremism through education.
The key goal of this workshop is to strengthen the capacities of education stakeholders to implement educational interventions and approaches that help to effectively and appropriately prevent violent extremism. The workshop is being organized by the UNESCO Cluster Office to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan (UNESCO Almaty), and UNESCO Headquarters, in cooperation with UNODC’s Education for Justice (E4J) initiative, in the context of the UNESCO/UNODC partnership on “Global Citizenship Education for a Culture of Lawfulness”.
