In this effort , education must play a major role , which requires propose strategies and approaches integrators and humanists, as useful tools to better understand the world today , to the challenges faced by people in this century. <br><br>With these assumptions, we call on teachers, professors, educators, researchers and leaders in the region to participate in the Congress Pedagogy 2019. The event will take place at UNESCO Headquarters and will be broadcasted at parallel events across the world.<br><br>27 January marks the anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi German Concentration and Extermination Camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau by Soviet troops in 1945. In 2005, it was officially proclaimed International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust by the United Nations General Assembly. <br><br>To mark this day, UNESCO will host a global screening of the feature documentary “Who Will Write Our History”. The film is the first feature documentary about the clandestine group Oyneg Shabes, which was formed in November 1940 in the Warsaw Ghetto under the leadership of historian Emanuel Ringelblum. Between 1940-43, the group collected thousands of testimonies from the Warsaw Ghetto, creating a documentary record of the wartime fate of Polish Jewry. The “Ringelblum archives” were included in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register in 1999.<br><br>The event will take place in presence of UNESCO Director General Audrey Azoulay, the President of the Shoah Memorial Éric de Rothschild, the film director Roberta Grossman, and the producer Nancy Spielberg. The screening will be framed by a ceremony in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and a panel discussion with members of the film crew, moderated by Stephen Smith, UNESCO Chair for Genocide Education.<br><br>The event at UNESCO will be screened at over 250 cinemas and museums across the world, including the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and the State Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau. <br><br>The event is organized in cooperation with Katahdin Foundation, the Shoah Memorial, ARTE and NDR. December 2018. It is expected that the Group’s proposal on the draft Operational Guidelines and framework of consequences for non-compliance with the International Convention against Doping in Sport will be finalized during this final meeting. The Bureau of the Sixth Session of the Conference of Parties (COP6) will also be represented during the discussions.<br><br>The members of the Working Group have collectively amended the draft documents, both in-session at their previous meetings (held on 26 March, 25 June and 24 September 2018) and out-of-session through a dedicated online platform. <br><br>The consolidated draft documents will be put forward for the consideration of the COP6 Bureau and circulated for feedback to all States Parties in January 2019. This new developmental paradigm has placed the concept of social protection at the center-stage of policy discourse for affluent and developing countries alike.<br><br>As a result of the Forum, it is expected that Ministries of Social Affairs and Ministers of Health in the Arab States will develop a strong engagement to review their national multi-dimensional social protection policies, in collaboration with social scientists and other concerned stakeholders. Using a mixed-method approach, data collection included interviews, a questionnaire addressed to the States Parties, desk review of Fund documentation, and in-country visits.<br><br>The Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport was established in 2008 to assist States Parties to develop and implement efficient anti-doping projects. As such, the 2019 HLPF theme “Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality” will frame discussions at the GEM. The event will combine the launch of the 2019 GEM Report Migration, displacement and education: Building bridges, not walls with a peer learning forum for core partners from EI’s Building Resilience in Crises through Education (BRICE) project. <br><br>The event will discuss the obstacles to quality education for refugee and migrant children and youth and the learnings the 2019 GEM Report and BRICE project offer for finding solutions to these challenges.<br><br>This joint event will open with introductory remarks from the UNESCO’s Assistant Director General for Africa M. Firmin E. Matoko and a presentation of the 2019 GEM Report by Senior Policy Analyst Anna Cristina D'Addio. A high-level panel featuring ministers of education from Germany and three other countries as well as key global speakers will focus on education policy challenges.
